Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max Wet Dry Vac (2024)

Its brushroll motor is stronger than its cordless alternative, so you can use this vacuum to clean carpeted floors. However, the Cordless Max can be used to easily clean faraway rooms with minimal difficulty. It also features a self-cleaning function that slightly reduces hands-on maintenance requirements. The biggest issue with this Bissell CrossWave is its abysmal, 30-minute battery life.

The Cordless Max model, as the name indicates, is cordless, but also has smart features, including a self-cleaning mode, and the ability to set up automatic orders for filters, brushes, and cleaning solution. The battery lasts for up to 30 minutes per charge, which is more than enough to zip through four rooms and a hallway bissell crosswave cordless in my apartment. The regular CrossWave that I own and the Pet Pro are similarly priced, making it easy to choose between them depending on your pet situation. The Cordless Max is quite a bit pricier than the other models, but I think it’s worth it just for the sake of not having to find an open outlet in each room.

No mop vac is fun to clean, and unlike robovacs, there isn’t a pricey model that has an auto-empty feature… yet. But many have a self-cleaning cycle that you can engage after cleaning once the mop vac is back on its charging dock. You still have to empty the dirty water tank and deal with the debris, and some are easier to clean than others. So I looked at how easy/hard/gross it was to clean the dirty water tanks, debris traps, dust bins, and washable filters.

Vacuum and wash your floors at the same time with the cordless freedom of this BISSELL CrossWave Cordless MAX Floor and Carpet Cleaner with Wet-Dry Vacuum. For smaller areas, this appliance is a nice, convenient way to quickly clean, but think twice if you intend to use it for larger homes. Had Bissell provided the option to purchase a spare battery that can be charged with the docking station at the same time, this would have resulted in a higher rating. If you’re anything like me—a person for whom mopping was once a rare and onerous occurrence—a good mop vac can transform you into a regular and enthusiastic mopper. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max’s range is limited only by the remaining battery life and the room left within its dirt compartment.

When you buy a BISSELL® product, Every Purchase Saves Pets™ through its support of BISSELL Pet Foundation®, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing pet homelessness. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vacuums and contact BISSELL for a free battery pack replacement. Consumers can either take the product to a local BISSELL authorized service center for a free battery pack replacement or schedule a free in-home repair visit from an authorized BISSELL service technician to replace the existing battery pack. Like the newer models, it has a HEPA filter and self-cleans with the push of a button when put back on the included charging dock.

Ideal for regular, routine cleaning as well as those messy accidents that simply happen in an active family home. 25 minutes of uninterrupted run time enables you to simultaneously vacuum, wash and dry multiple rooms and floor types in the average sized house. And to learn more about how I tested mop vacs, how they work, and which models didn’t make the shortlist, keep reading. Though the breadth of the brand’s offerings in the vacuum mop combo category can be a bit overwhelming (more on that later), I highly recommend two Tineco models at different price points.

That said, the Samsung vacuum is considerably better at everyday vacuuming tasks. It performs much better on carpeted floors with its multi-surface floorhead, is easier to maneuver, weighs considerably less, and has a longer battery life. It easily clears away pet hair as well as small and bulky debris on this surface type, with no significant loss in suction performance as its dustbin fills up. Its mopping function is also quite effective in dealing with dried-on dirt and debris.

While it’s technically not a smart device, it does have a backlit LED display with visual alerts for battery level, power mode, and brush roll tangles. It will also let you know if the dirty water tank is full or if the clean water tank is empty. After hours and hours of testing models priced from $140 to $750 in 2022, I confirmed that nothing performed better than the cordless Tineco Floor One S5 Combo.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — BISSELL, a leader in homecare cleaning solutions, today introduced the CrossWave® OmniForce™ – a wet dry vac and cleaning powerhouse that delivers twice the clean in one machine. The most innovative CrossWave® machine yet, the CrossWave® OmniForce™ Wet Dry Vac, delivers the best of both a mop and vacuum, equipped to tackle crumbs and kibble in Power Vac mode and muddy paw prints in Power Mop mode. The duality of the cordless machine makes it the ideal everyday product for households with a variety of mess-makers, from cats and dogs to kids and partners. Unfortunately, the size and unique design didn’t quite translate to more cleaning power and the FloorMate Deluxe somehow felt like too much and not enough for my cleaning up everyday messes in my house.
